Where do varicose veins appear?

Varicose veins appear mostly on the legs and are called “Varices“ by doctors. The illness is called “Varicose”. It comprises of veins that run close to the surface of the skin that are swollen and twisted several times due to congested blood flow.
Such swollen veins don´t look very attractive. For those who are affected varicose veins can cause a significant cosmetic problem. In addition varicose veins are accompanied by pain and swelling in the feet and legs areas. Skin damage can be caused by the inadequate blood supply and can cause discolouring, itching or even inflammation.

Vein change accumulates with an increase in age which also increases its severity. Women are affected three times as much by varicose veins than men. Varicose veins mostly appear between the ages of 30 to 40 years. In most cases varicose veins are less pronounced and cause no health problems. With an increase in age and more and more of those affected experiencing predominant discomfort, treatment is required.
