Foam Sclerosis

The foam sclerosis is suitable for certain forms of vein disorders, for example the so called Pudendal varicosities, that appears in the pubic area especially after giving birth, as well as in pre-damaged varicose skin of the smaller leg veins.

This involves a sclerotising treatment with foam sclerosing agent which is more effective with larger varicose veins than a liquid sclerosing agent.

The foam sclerotising treatment is often combined with surgery or surgery is done sometime afterwards. Weather the treatment is done during surgery or sometime afterwards; this is decided by the vein specialist (Phlebologist).
